  • Choosing the Right Tree
    Start by selecting a fresh tree. Look for one with vibrant green needles that are firmly attached. A fresh tree should not shed excessively when you run your hand along a branch. The fresher the tree, the longer it will last in your home.

  • Fresh Cut to the Trunk
    Before setting up your tree, make a fresh cut to the trunk, removing about half an inch from the base. This will allow the tree to absorb water more efficiently, ensuring it stays hydrated.

  • Water Regularly
    A Christmas tree can use up to a gallon of water a day. Make sure you check the water level daily and keep the base of the trunk submerged. Using plain tap water works best; additives or commercial preservatives are not necessary.
