Renting a Storage Unit - Sell a Home | Haring Realty

Selling your home and moving is stressful and exhausting, especially if you have occupied the house for several years. But our REALTORS® have some suggestions to minimize both, starting with renting a storage unit. Take a look at how a unit can make your life easier.

  • Say Goodbye to Clutter
    Prospective home buyers want to imagine themselves comfortable in their new home. Personal photographs and collections are a distraction from their vision. When you remove items that identify you as the owner, they feel more welcome in the space and can see their decor filling it. A small unit is perfect for these as well as maintenance tools like lawnmowers, leaf blowers, and rakes. 

  • A Storage Unit Offers the Gift of Time
    A mid-sized unit can allow you to spread out packing over time to help you avoid a last-minute crunch. Packing off-season clothing and equipment, sports gear, and infrequently used items such as seasonal decor will give you a big jump in the packing process. A storage unit means you can continue living comfortably where you are without climbing over boxes. 

  • Create a Spacious View of the House
    If you've been looking online at Bucyrus homes for sale, you've probably seen photographs of homes crowded with oversized furniture, laundry rooms with full hampers, and bedrooms cluttered with toys. By clearly labeling the boxes, you can put each in the appropriate room in your new home, making settling in much easier as well. As an aside, it is a good idea to pack a single box with all the immediate-need items, such as medications and toiletries, and keep that box with you so you don't have to search for it later.
