Add These Things to Your Spring Cleaning Supply List
Did you know the fourth Sunday in March starts National Spring Cleaning Week? It's the perfect time to get started with that cleaning to-do list and give Mansfield and Ashland homes for sale a spring fresh look and feel. If you've just moved in or are looking to sell, this job is probably top on your list! Spring cleaning can seem like an enormous and demanding task, but these supplies will help you tackle just about any spring cleaning job quickly and easily.
General Supplies
You probably already have most of these supplies, since they are used for general cleaning. For most people spring cleaning means doing a deep, detailed cleaning and getting all those spots that are hard to reach or don't get cleaned very often. So take the opportunity to make sure what you have is in working order and replace any cleaners you're running low on. These supplies are the must-haves that will help you tackle a lot of general cleaning tasks.
- Vacuum cleaner and attachments
- Broom and dustpan
- Microfiber cloths or duster
- Mop
- All-purpose cleaner
- Mild liquid dish soap
- Toilet brush
- Scrubbing sponges
- Glass cleaner

Specialty Supplies
These are things you may not have thought of because they have very specific uses. If you've just moved in or have done some remodeling prior to putting your home up for sale, you may realize that you have something you aren't quite sure how to clean or that requires something a little special to keep it looking its best. Don't forget about the supplies that will make these jobs much easier.
- Countertop cleaner. This is specifically for marble, granite, and quartz countertops since regular cleaners can cause permanent damage to these materials. Countertop cleaner will also help revive the shine.
- Stainless steel cleaner. If you have stainless steel appliances, sink, or fixtures in your kitchen, keeping them shiny and fingerprint-free is easy with a special cleaner. Some regular cleaners can leave film or streaks on this material. Stainless steel cleaners also polish and protect the finish.
- Grout brush. The grout between tiles doesn't get deep cleaned often and it can harbor some serious grime. Cleaning it is easier with the thin, angled, stiff brush designed for that purpose.
- Lint roller. If you have delicate fabrics for something like decorative pillows or curtains that you don't want to vacuum, use a lint roller instead.
- Vinegar, baking soda, and a lemon. You won't want to use them on everything, but these items you likely already have in your home do a good job of cleaning certain things. These three items together are especially effective for cleaning the microwave. And lemons do a great job of banishing odors from the garbage disposal. Baking soda is good for cleaning the refrigerator.
- Duster with an extension handle. These are often used specifically for dusting ceiling fans, but they can be handy for high or hard-to-reach decorative trim, shelves, or windows too. If any area of your home has extra-high ceilings, this tool is a must.
