Mansfield Living: 1285 Winery at the Blueberry Patch

This sweet little spot is a blueberry farm, a winery, a restaurant, and more. Located at 1285 West Hanley Road in Mansfield, the winery is open Wednesday through Saturday evenings.
Blueberry Farm
1285 Winery is a family-owned and operated business that started as a blueberry farm. The blueberry farm still exists, and in fact, is used to produce some of the blueberries that are used in their wines. This homegrown, grow-it-yourself attitude has also led to the foundation of the winery--literally--as the family built the winery's building from the ground up. The building itself was built out of trees from the farm, and much of the rest recycled or upcycled from the surrounding community, such as the tin decorating the walls and the very door you open when you walk in.
Winery
1285 Winery is a winery and not a wine bar, which is to say that all the wines they serve are actually made there. And you'll notice their unique take on every wine they make. For instance, you'll find their signature blueberries included in their wines, such as the Blueberry Bliss that is currently available. 1285 Winery offers other sweet fruit wines, too, such as their Rhubarb and Apple Cider wines, as well as a selection of more traditional wines. Their wine selections change frequently due to popularity, so they recommend calling ahead if there is something specific you're interested in.
Would you like some cheese with that wine? Everyone knows a good wine deserves a delicious meal to go with it, and 1285 Winery has you covered there, too. With a variety of cheese plates and salads, classic options such as pasta, and a selection of classy wood-fired pizzas, 1285 proves that while they may be an amazing winery, they're also more than just a winery. Even better, they readily recommend the best of their wines to be paired with each food option, so you never have to wonder if you're doing it right.
