The end-of-year holiday season is a great time to look for a new home. If you've set your heart on a family-friendly community, Mansfield homes for sale have a lot to offer. Mansfield is just one of the warm and wonderful communities in the area. You'll also find exciting home choices in Loudonville, Ontario, and Ashland. As you tour regional homes, you can get to know each community by participating in seasonal activities. Christmas tree farms are a local tradition you're sure to enjoy.

Our REALTORS® live and work in the area. We enjoy the pure excitement of finding a Christmas tree on a farm and claiming it as our own. It's one of our favorite things to do in the Mansfield area and we want to share it with you. We've created a guide to local farms where you can have your own Christmas tree hunting adventure.

Sugar Grove Tree Farm, 1619 Township Road 1455, Ashland, Ohio
When you visit Ashland homes for sale, you'll see that Ashland is a perfect community to call home. The people are friendly and the homes are attractive and moderately priced. When you take a break from home shopping, you can visit Sugar Grove Tree Farm.

Sugar Grove Farm began it's Christmas tree tradition in 1984, but the farm has been a part of the community since 1823. When you visit on Saturdays and Sundays through December 10th, you can ride in a horse-drawn wagon to a field to chop your tree. The farm provides saws. Employees will help load your tree. You can also enjoy free hot chocolate and cookies.
Kleerview Farm, 2454 Baughman Road, Bellville, Ohio
Ontario is a small family-friendly city near Mansfield, Ohio. When you're checking out Ontario homes for sale, you'll be impressed with the variety of architectural styles, tree-laden landscapes, and reasonable prices. In December, you can join local citizens chopping down their family Christmas trees at Kleerview Farm.

The trip from Ontario to Bellville takes less than 20 minutes. You can chop down your tree and take a wagon ride to the holiday-themed Christmas House. Kid's can visit ducks, piglets, a miniature donkey, and a reindeer calf at Santa's Barnyard Express. You can even rent a full-grown reindeer for your holiday event.
Wade and Gatton Nurseries, 1288 Gatton Rocks Road, Bellville, Ohio
Wade and Gatton Nurseries is also located in Bellville, Ohio. They specialize in growing perennials, 3,500 Hosta varieties, and 2,000 types of Daylilies. It's the perfect place to begin your tree-chopping tradition. If you can't fit a farm visit into your schedule, you can buy fresh-cut trees at Wade and Gatton Christmas tree lots in Mansfield, Ontario, and Columbus.
Big Run Evergreens, 635 Twp Rd 2724, Loudonville, Ohio
In Loudonville, you'll find beautiful homes, quality schools, great neighbors, and spacious tree-filled landscapes. When you're visiting Loudonville homes you won't have to go far for a tree-chopping adventure. From now until December 23rd, you can visit Big Run Evergreens to chop down your family Christmas tree. They supply the saws and for a 30 dollar fee, you can cut down any Blue Spruce or Norway Spruce tree you choose.
