Downtown Mansfield Hosts Heart of the City Cruise-In
One of Ohio's most popular car shows is returning to the Mansfield area this Saturday, August 26. You've still got time to polish up your ride for the big show. The Heart of the City Cruise In – presented by the Downtown Mansfield organization – is always one of Mansfield's most well-attended special events, in part because it grows bigger and better with each passing year. There are activities during the show for every member of the family, to go along with all of the great food and community fun you'll enjoy throughout the day. Enjoy the 22nd Annual Heart of the City Cruise In
Perhaps you're the type who enjoys spending a warm summer evening wrenching under the hood, polishing chrome, and getting every detail of your favorite vehicle just right before presenting it to the world. Or maybe you prefer taking in the results all the hard work that others have done on their classic rides, enjoying some quality time with the family, and having plenty of fun in the process. The Heart of the City Cruise In is geared toward all Mansfield residents:
- The Cruise – Of course, the big attraction is the cruise itself, which always features some of the best-looking cars in all of Ohio. This year marks the 22nd annual Heart of the City Cruise In, and the big parade seems to grow with each passing year. You can stake out a great spot to enjoy all of the action from the sidelines, or sign up ahead of time and participate with a vehicle of your own.
- Food and Fun – Throughout the event, you can enjoy some fantastic food from many of Mansfield's favorite dining destinations, as well as an area filled with fun vendors. There are events tailored specifically for the kids in the crowd, all leading up to the parade. The Heart of the City Cruise In lasts all day long from 8AM to 5PM, and there's fun to be had for the whole family during every moment of the event.
- Live Performances and Giveaways – During the afternoon, you can take a break from the action to sit back, grab a drink, and take in some live music from local performers. There will be a performance in the gazebo from 12:30PM to 2:30PM, along with a live DJ throughout the show. You might even win some new gear, just for showing up. There are door prizes throughout the Heart of the City Cruise In, along with a 50/50 raffle that always draws plenty of participants. Of course, there are also quite a few awards for the best vehicles in the show, as well.
