In our Ohio region, there will be a hint of fall in the air soon, and with it, a harbinger of the colder weather to come. That means, among many other tasks, it's time to winterize our yards. The goal is to shut things down so your plants are protected against the worst that Mother Nature can deliver with wintertime wind and moisture.
Year-round maintenance of your yard will help you keep a step ahead of the other Mansfield homes for sale, should you be planning to list your home. Our REALTORS® have many suggestions for making your property look its best. But to get started, try these six helpful tips to winterize your yard.

Did you know that you have an amazing gift of kindness sitting in your pantry? Friday, September 4th, is National Food Bank Day, and our REALTORS® encourage you to give back to our community by donating to a local food bank. National Food Bank Day is a relatively new United States holiday, but food banks and pantries have operated in our country for decades.
You can celebrate National Food Bank Day in a number of ways. First and foremost, you can donate nonperishable foods to your local food bank. It's best to ask the food bank which items they are in need of first. Sometimes too many cans are donated and they actually have a shortage of fresh food items like fruits and vegetables. You could also make a generous monetary donation to help these food pantries keep their operations running as efficiently as possible. If you're unable to donate physical items, you can donate your time and help the food bank sort donations, assist members of the community, and complete administrative tasks.

National Dog Day is celebrated on August 26, so why not get outside for some exercise and spend some quality time with your dog? The Mansfield OH area has several designated dog parks as well as many multi-use parks that are perfect spots for walking your dog.
